The beginning of a new decade and it's not the best start with the corona virus having a profound effect on our lives.
Remember you are not stuck at home, you are safe at home.  Health, family and friends are what truly matters, and with family and friends comes love.  I understand how incredibly disappointing it has been for some of you, having to delay your weddings for now but it is in our best interests and for our wonderful country we live in.
I am posting a pic below of Pooh Bear, who I truly love.
Stay well.

Love is all around

These are Hugh Grant's opening words in the movie "Love Actually".  They have always been special for me, as is the movie, and I'd like to share them with you.  Best wishes for a happy, peaceful and healthy 2018.  And, yes, I do believe love is all around.
"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport.  General opinion is starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that.  It seems to me that love is everywhere.  Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends.  When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know, none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love.  If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."

Spring Flowers

I was wandering through my garden, looking at the beautiful flowers that have blossomed now that spring has arrived.  It reminded me of how flowers are an important part of our lives, particularly on special occasions like birthdays and weddings.  Flowers and their meanings have always captivated people.

Some examples:
Borage represents courage; forget-me-nots and red roses represent true love; orange blossom represents purity and loveliness;  oak leaves represent strength; dahlia is elegance;  bellflower is unwavering love;  olive represents peace.

Flowers add a special touch to a wedding and what a wonderful time of year to get married!

Same Sex Marriages

Australia still doesn't legally accept same sex marriages.  Many couples continue to travel to New Zealand to get married.  Have a look at  https://www.tvnz.co.nz/shows/sunday/clips/licence-to-love to watch some touching stories, some  happy and some sad.

Spring weddings - be prepared for the weather

Congratulations to Emirates Team New Zealand for making us proud
New Zealanders and bringing the Americas Cup home.  It’s always good to have something positive and happy to focus on when it’s cold and bleak outside, and what a perfect time to think about your spring wedding.

Although the weather will be warmer in spring, the weather can be unpredictable so be prepared, particularly if you want an outdoors wedding.  Always have a
‘Plan B’ or you could provide umbrellas for your guests in an attractive way, in case there is a sudden shower.

Meantime, keep warm and enjoy your planning!
